Laser Hair Loss Treatment
Laser Hair Loss Treatment has Different Versions
Are you experiencing baldness and looking into laser hair
loss treatment? Did you know that there isn’t actually one type of
treatment; there are, in fact, different varieties of laser use currently
available? Laser hair replacement is a relatively new development and one
that few people know about, so be sure you look into the different types
before you plunk down any money.
How “Cold Lasers” Work
Some laser clinics treat hair loss with the use of a “cold laser” applied in
their offices. This type of medical
hair restoration therapy treats the scalp by directing low-level lasers
onto the scalp to stimulate growth and encourage healing of cells and
usually takes a series of visits over several months. Because of its low
intensity, it does no damage to the skin, but penetrates effectively to
reach the follicles. This type of treatment has been used in Europe for
years, and is now starting to replace more traditional therapies in the
United States.
Do-It-Yourself Therapy with a Laser Comb
If you are losing hair and serious about replacing your hair with laser
therapy but just don’t have time for numerous visits to a doctor’s office,
consider a laser comb. These use a similar technology, but the treatments
are done at home. The device looks similar to a regular comb or brush, but
with the laser light built into the base where the bristles are located. By
using it to thoroughly brush the hair for about fifteen minutes, three times
a week, you can see results at home.
Laser light therapy is healthy and stimulates cell regeneration and hair
growth, so it’s also a great addition to other hair
loss treatments such as topical creams, pills or even transplants. If
you decide you’d like to try other types of hair
replacement systems, you can still use the laser treatment to continue
to encourage growth of healthier, thicker hair after you’ve completed other
treatments.
