Advice on Hair Loss Prevention, Treatments and Hair Restoration

Hair Loss Treatment Product vs. Replacement System

Do you want to try a hair loss treatment product to slow the loss of the hair you have left because you notice it is thinning? Or have you been considering going a step farther and looking into male hair replacement systems? It’s a choice only you can make and one where you should take into consideration all aspects of each method.

For some males, baldness is in the early stages (more hair in your comb, etc.) and a product that can provide an effective treatment to slow down or stop hair loss is enough. A topical treatment that stimulates the follicles and prevents the progression of baldness is often enough in these cases. If the baldness has progressed too far, however, and the individual feels self-conscious and wants to reverse the appearance of hair loss, replacement systems may be the right decision.

A good product for treatment of hair loss in its early stages will be more of a preventative medication. These can be over-the-counter medications, vitamins or other holistic approaches. For the male considering hair replacement, the methods are a bit more extensive. There are systems varying from hair transplantation and surgical grafts from other parts of the body to fusing multiple hair strands onto individual strands still remaining to give the appearance of more hair and cover thinning areas.

If you are a balding male, you have to decide which treatment or replacement system is right for you. Ask yourself if you are happy with how your hair looks right now. If you think it is fine, but would like to prevent future baldness, a topical treatment may be the way to go. Next, ask yourself how much time, pain and money you want to invest in hair loss products or procedures. Finally, do lots of research. For each type of treatment, check with a few different providers to find out the right one for you.
