Baldness Cures - Some Facts
Some of us losing hair are looking for baldness cures.
There are effective products available for stopping hair loss. The type,
frequency and duration of your hair loss determine the choice of products
that will be an effective cure for your particular type of baldness. In
addition, it is important to assess the medical condition of your body and
its tolerance level to the medicines before deciding on a cure. Your doctor
can determine these. Topical and oral medications,
hair transplant surgery and even
natural remedies might work for you.
Effective Cures for Baldness
There are a large numbers of cures and treatments available. We will
begin with the FDA-approved medications. Propecia, a prescription drug only
for males, is known to stop hair loss and help re-grow hair. Rogaine or
Minoxidil, an over-the-counter drug, comes in 2% and 5% solutions. This
medication can be used by both genders. Minoxidil helps hair re-growth and
is thus one for the most popular medical cures for baldness. Tricomin
Therapy Spray and Nizoral shampoo can be used effectively by both the
genders. These medications not only prevent thinning or shedding but also
catalyze re-growth. The results of all these medication are obvious in
around 9-12 months.
Non-FDA approved but lab-tested hair loss
products are also known to be effective for both genders. Revivogen,
Crinagen, both DHT inhibitors, stimulate growth and stop shedding. Nizoral
2%, Topical Spironolactone, Proxiphen and custom Minoxidil solutions, all
prescription drugs, also deliver quite satisfactory results for curing
baldness in men and women.
Medical hair restoration or
hair transplantation is an
expensive, irreversible method with effective results generally. In these
surgical procedures, hair from the dense region of scalp is grafted on to
the bald area. After some time the hair begins to grow. However, this cure
for baldness has to be performed by an expert surgeon.
